Seal the Deal

back to business after a long memorial weekend. With all the parts sandblasted and cleaned it was time to seal the bug

With the bug entirely sealed its time to move on to the body work

The day flew by, and boy are its arms tired

Today we really got down to the bare bare bones, pulled out the entire dashboard and steering column along with all the wiring

Getting the motor out and then we'll be entirely ready to remove the body from the pan. Hope to have this picked up and taken to the sandblasters tomorrow!

1972 Volkswagon Bug Restoration Project

this 72 bug came into the shop. This car was the clients fathers and has been in their family since it came off assembly. She wants a full restore from the ground up along with a full custom paint job back to the original robin eggshell blue.

we started the dismantle by taking off the doors, hood, back lid and driver side fender. We also ripped out the interior

we finished the taking off the passenger side fenders and took all 11 pieces to the sandblaster to get blasted.
